Two dimensional (2D) tubular braided composites consist of textile fibers imbedded in a resin matrix. Braid geometry and void content will affect the mechanical behavior of the tubular braided composite samples. In this study, tubular braid samples were assessed using micro X-ray computed tomography (μCT) to evaluate sample porosity/void content and to identify the strand geometry of the reinforcing fibers. The process described in this manuscript can be used to assess the quality and consistency of the tubular braided composite manufacturing process.en_US
