Description
Note: A mill race is a channel used to divert water from a river or stream to a water wheel in order to create energy for the milling process. The Taylor Brothers Paper Mill building is still standing on Pottery Road, as part of the Todmorden Mills Museum in Toronto. The second paper mill in Upper Canada, it was originally constructed by Colin Skinner and John Eastwood in 1827 and purchased by the Taylor Brothers in 1855.
