dc.descriptionWorld-famous ornithologist, Professor Emeritus Fred Cooke, spoke about the early years in La PĂ©rouse Bay and Churchill. Fred Cooke studies Lesser Snow Goose at La PĂ©rouse Bay, now known as Wapusk National Park. Fred Cooke invited Bob Jefferies to study the salt-marsh vegetation that the Lesser Snow Geese were eating. Bob Jefferies in fact continued this research for 30 years. Fred shared his memories and early years of the project with Bob Jefferies and its significance in Churchill.
