Three Essays in Corporate Finance

My dissertation explores the economic relationships among firms within customer-supplier networks and examines their roles in corporate environmental policies, competitive behaviors, and information dissemination. One chapter focuses on the information flow along a supply chain and studies institutional investors' abilities to process the information in advance of other market participants. Another chapter uses the link among suppliers to distinguish existing competition from the potential competition and investigates their distinct impacts on disclosure behavior. In the final chapter, I examine the role of competition in environmental regulations compliance.
