It draws upon semi-autobiographical elements surrounding childhood trauma and neglect, and the collateral anxieties manifested in adulthood. With the use of life-sized child mannequins, 12-inch action figures, and a computer-generated virtual background, this project explores early childhood experiences of proximate separation that occur when attuned contact between parent and child is lacking or interrupted.Author owns copyright, except where explicitly noted.
